Effective date: 23 June 2025
Protecting end-user privacy is central to our philosophy. We designed the platform from scratch to operate without any cookies or trackers on the websites you monitor. We set a single essential cookie on the Pulstracker website itself so that account holders can access and remain logged in to their user dashboard. This is strictly necessary for security and session continuity.
๐ช Do we use cookies?
For website visitors being measured by Pulstracker:
- โ
No cookies are used.
- โ
No persistent identifiers, no device fingerprinting, and no local storage.
- โ
No tracking across sessions, no third-party requests, and no cross-site monitoring.
For logged-in Pulstracker users (i.e. dashboard access):
โ
A single secure session cookie is set, strictly required for authentication and maintaining login state.
This cookie:
๐
Contains no tracking or analytics payload
๐ก๏ธ
Is not accessible to third parties
๐
Is scoped to pulstracker.pro only
โฐ
Is removed when you log out or the session expires
โ๏ธ GDPR & ePrivacy Directive
Pulstracker complies fully with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, amended by 2009/136/EC):
- โ No cookies or identifiers are set on the devices of visitors to your website
- โ No consent banners or cookie notices are required when using Pulstracker for analytics only
โ
The single session cookie for dashboard users falls under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, which allows setting cookies "strictly necessary in order to provide a service explicitly requested by the user" โ in this case, login functionality
We also do not rely on legitimate interest as a basis for analytics tracking, because we do not track individuals.
๐ What we measure (without cookies)
Pulstracker uses ephemeral, non-persistent metrics, processed entirely on the server side:
๐
Truncated IPs for coarse location estimation
๐
Aggregated referrer, browser, and OS info
๐ฏ
Optional custom event tracking (sessionless, anonymous)
No individual user journey is reconstructed. No data is shared or sold. You remain in control of your traffic data, which is hosted on secure servers within the EU/EEA (Finland).
